Ingredients
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/2 cup maple syrup
- 2-3 twigs rosemary
To make the mocktail
- 1-2 oz of the prepared syrup (2 oz for sweeter drink)
- 2 oz cranberry juice (no sugar added)
- pinch all spice
- 2-3 oz soda water
- ice cubes
- rosemary, cranberries (for garnishing)
Method
- First, we will make the maple rosemary simple syrup. To a pan on medium heat, add water, maple syrup and 2-3 twigs of fresh rosemary. Let it heat up (no boiling needed), and once warm turn off the heat. Cover the pan with a plate and let it sit for around 20 to 30 minutes for the flavors to steep in. This makes enough for 4 to 5 drinks depending on how large or small your glasses are and how such syrup would you add to each drink.
- Once the flavors are well infused, it's time to make the drink. I am giving quantities for a single drink here- For 1 drink, to a cocktail shaker, add 1 to 2 ounces of the prepared syrup (1 oz. for a less sweeter mocktail).
- Then add 2 ounces of cranberry juice (use unsweetened juice). Add generous pinch of all spice.
- Now close the shaker and shake few times until everything is well combined.
- To your glass, now add few ice cubes and few fresh cranberries. Then fill the glass with the drink. Top with 2 to 3 ounces of soda water. Garnish with a fresh twig of rosemary!
