Ingredients

  • 8 bread slices
  • ½ cup sooji / bombay rava / semolina
  • 2 tbsp rice flour
  • ¼ cup curd / yogurt
  • ¼ cup water or as required
  • salt to taste
  • oil for roasting
  • aloo bhaji / potato masala / potato sabzi- for stuffing

Method

  1. take 8 bread slices and cut the edges.
  2. crumble the bread slices well with you hand. make sure there are no big pieces of bread.
  3. now add half cup sooji (rava / semolina), 2 tbsp rice flour, ¼ cup curd, ¼ cup water and some salt to taste.
  4. mix them well and allow to soak for 20-30 minutes.
  5. now take the soaked ingredients in a blender and blend to smooth dosa batter consistency. add water if required.
  6. heat the griddle. smear some water over the tawa and wipe off with a tissue paper.
  7. sprinkle some oil and wipe off with a tissue. (do not add oil if using non-stick pan)
  8. once the tawa is hot; pour a ladleful of batter and spread out in a circular motion.
  9. add some oil on top of the dosa
  10. cook them covered for a minute.
  11. add in potato sabzi filling center of the dosa.
  12. cook for 15-30 seconds or till it turns golden brown and crisp.
  13. fold the dosa into half or roll into circular.
  14. serve masala dosa hot with coconut chutney and sambar
