Ingredients

  • 1 medium apple
  • 1 orange mandarin
  • 1 medium pear
  • 4 medium strawberries
  • 1 medium banana
  • 1/2 cup grapes
  • 1/4 cup pomegranate arils
  • 1/2 teaspoon chaat masala
  • 1/4 teaspoon roasted cumin powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon black salt (kala namak)
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper (crushed, (or red chili powder))
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 5-6 mint leaves (finely chopped, optional)

Method

  1. Firstly, chop the fruits into bite-size pieces and assemble them in a large bowl.
  2. Add all the spices, freshly squeezed lemon juice (or lime), and chopped mint leaves. Gently toss everything together until well combined without mashing the fruits. Note: Adding lemon juice prevents fruits from browning.
  3. Serve this fruit chaat immediately. Enjoy!
