Ingredients

  • 15 oz can garbanzo beans (, washed and drained)
  • 5 cloves of garlic
  • 1 dried red chili pepper or 1 teaspoon chili flakes
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon tahini sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 Tablespoon lime juice
  • 1/4 teaspoon kala namak
  • 1 cup chopped cilantro
  • 3 teaspoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper

Method

  1. In a pan, heat 2 teaspoons of olive oil.
  2. Add the red chili pepper and the garlic cloves to it.
  3. Cook the garlic on medium high heat for 5 minutes stirring occasionally.
  4. Add in the garbanzo beans and the spices and mix well. Cook for another 2 minutes.
  5. Cool the mixture and blend with cilantro leaves and a little water.
  6. Sprinkle the remaining olive oil and cayenne pepper before serving!
