Ingredients

  • 350 grams or 2 to 2½ cups apple (– chopped in small cubes)
  • 65 to 70 grams or ¾ cup celery (– finely chopped)
  • 50 grams or 16 to 17 or ½ cup walnuts (– chopped (without shells))
  • 270 grams or 1½ cups grapes (– halved, seedless)
  • ½ cup mayonnaise (– egg free or plant based)
  • 2 teaspoons lemon juice (or add as needed)
  • ⅛ to ¼ teaspoon salt (or add as required)
  • ½ teaspoon sugar (or add as required)
  • ¼ teaspoon ground black pepper (or add as required)
  • few iceberg lettuce leaves

Method

  1. Prepare the apples by rinsing, peeling, coring and chopping them evenly into small cubes.
  2. Rinse and halve the grapes, chop the celery finely, and roughly chop the walnuts.
  3. In a bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, lemon juice, salt, sugar, and black pepper until smooth and creamy.
  4. Add the prepared fruits, celery, and walnuts to the dressing. Toss gently to coat everything evenly.
  5. Serve immediately or chill for some time. Place the salad on fresh lettuce leaves while serving and optionally garnish with chopped parsley.
