  • 1 bowl sabudana
  • 1 bowl water
  • 2 potatoes
  • 1/4 cup roasted crushed peanut
  • 3 Green chillies
  • 3 tbsp fresh coriander
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice

Steps

  1. Wash the sabudana once, add the same bowl of water and cover for 4-5 hours. Meanwhile, boil the potatoes and cut into cubes, and chop coriander and chillies.
  2. Put ghee in a nonstick pan and let cumin seeds splutter in it. Add chilli, curry leaves and chilli powder, then mix in the potato cubes.
  3. Combine salt, soaked sabudana, coriander and crushed peanuts in the pan, mixing thoroughly for a minute. Follow with lemon juice, mix again and leave the pan covered for a minute.
  4. Switch off the gas and give it a final mix. The Falahar Sabudana Khichdi is ready to serve: transfer to a bowl, sprinkle fresh coriander and garnish with curry leaves. Enjoy this fasting dish.
