Ingredients

  • ½ cup bombay rava / semolina / sooji
  • ¼ cup curd / yogurt
  • 1 green chilli (finely chopped)
  • ¼ cup water
  • 2 tbsp onions (finely chopped)
  • 2 tbsp tomato (finely chopped)
  • 3 tbsp capsicum (red & green finely chopped)
  • 2 tbsp carrot (grated)
  • 1 tbsp coriander (finely chopped)
  • ½ tsp sugar
  • salt to taste
  • 4 bread slices (brown / white)
  • 4 tsp green chutney
  • 2 tsp butter

Method

  1. firstly, in a small mixing bowl take ½ cup rava, ¼ cup curd and ¼ cup water.
  2. combine all the ingredients well and make a batter.
  3. further add 1 green chilli, 2 tbsp onions, 2 tbsp tomato, 3 tbsp capsicum, 2 tbsp carrot and 1 tbsp coriander.
  4. also add ½ tsp sugar and salt to taste.
  5. combine all together.
  6. further rest for 10-15 minutes or till rava turns soft.
  7. now spread green chutney over bread slice.
  8. furthermore spread prepared rava batter.
  9. toast it over hot tawa.
  10. also spread butter on the other side of the bread.
  11. once the rava side bread roasts well, turn over.
  12. roast the butter side bread till it turns golden and crisp.
  13. finally, cut the rava toast and serve for breakfast.
