Ingredients

  • 2-3 cups dosa batter
  • 1/2 cup paneer (grated)
  • 1/4 cup onion (chopped)
  • 1/4 cup tomato (chopped)
  • 1/4 cup carrot (grated)
  • 2 green chilies (finely chopped)
  • 2 tablespoons coriander leaves (finely chopped)
  • 1/2 teaspoon garam masala (optional)
  • 1 stalk curry leaves (finely chopped, optional)
  • oil
  • salt (adjust to taste)

Method

  1. First prepare dosa batter.I used leftover dosa batter for this recipe.
  2. In a bowl mix everything together except dosa batter.
  3. Heat a pan/tawa on medium flame. Add a little oil and pour a ladleful of the batter. Spread evenly slightly thick.
  4. Sprinkle paneer-veg topping on uttapam.
  5. Add oil around the edges and close lid.
  6. Cook for 1-2 minutes till base is brown.
  7. After a minute or two, flip uttapam and let it cook till onions are caramelized and crisp.
  8. Remove and transfer to a serving plate.
  9. Serve hot with coconut chutney and sambar.
