Ingredients

for biscuit base:

  • 300 grams parle-g biscuit
  • 2 tbsp cocoa powder
  • ¼ cup powdered sugar
  • 3 tbsp chocolate sauce
  • ¼ cup milk

for instant mawa:

  • 1 tsp ghee / clarified butter
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1½ cup milk powder
  • 2 tbsp sugar

Method

  1. firstly, in a blender take 300 grams parle-g biscuit and blend to a fine powder. you can alternatively use marie biscuit, oreo biscuit or any other digestive biscuits.
  2. now sieve the powdered biscuit to avoid any biscuit pieces.
  3. add 2 tbsp cocoa powder, ¼ cup powdered sugar and 3 tbsp chocolate sauce.
  4. mix well making sure everything is well combined.
  5. further, add ¼ cup milk and knead well.
  6. knead to a smooth and soft dough adding more milk if required.
  7. now place the biscuit dough over butter paper.
  8. flatten slightly, and place a butter paper over it.
  9. roll slightly thick making sure it is of uniform thickness.
  10. peel off the butter paper and keep aside.
  11. to prepare instant mawa, in a large kadai heat 1 tsp ghee.
  12. add 1 cup milk, 1½ cup milk powder and 2 tbsp sugar.
  13. stir continuously, until milk powder is well combined.
  14. continue to cook until the mixture thickens.
  15. now transfer the mawa over the rolled biscuit dough.
  16. spread uniformly making sure its evenly distributed.
  17. place a butter paper over it and roll slightly thick making sure it is of uniform thickness.
  18. peel off the butter paper.
  19. now roll tight making sure there is no gap in between.
  20. wrap in an aluminium foil and seal the sides.
  21. refrigerate for 30 minutes or until it is set completely.
  22. slice to a thick pieces and is ready to serve.
  23. finally, enjoy parle-g biscuit swiss roll for a week when refrigerated.
