Ingredients
- 1 cup heavy cream
- ½ cup milk [i used 1%]
- ⅓ cup + 2 teaspoon granulated white sugar
- ½ teaspoon peppermint extract
- ¼ teaspoon vanilla extract
- ½ cup + 2 tablespoons semi-sweet chocolate chips
- green food color (few drops [optional])
- pinch of salt
Method
- In a bowl whisk together heavy cream and milk.
- Add the granulated sugar and whisk till sugar dissolves completely.
- Add peppermint extract, vanilla extract, salt, green food color (optional) and mix till combined. Cover the mixture and refrigerate for 4 hours or overnight.
- Once the mixture is chilled, make the ice cream according to ice cream maker manufacturer instructions.
- Add semi-sweet chocolate chips to the ice cream mixture after the ice cream has been churning in the bowl for 10-15 minutes.
- Once the ice cream is done, transfer to a bowl and freeze for 4-6 hours before serving or till the ice cream is firm.
- Scoop into your favorite cone and enjoy!
