Ingredients

  • 600 grams or 3 large oranges
  • 600 grams or 3 large sweet limes ((mosambi))
  • 2 to 3 tablespoon sugar (or add as required)
  • ⅛ teaspoon black salt (or add as required, optional)
  • ice cubes (or water to thin down the juice if required, optional)

Method

  1. Peel and remove the segments from the oranges and sweet limes.
  2. Add the citrus segments to the feeder tube of the juicer. Tip: You can also halve the fruits and manually extract the juice using a citrus fruit juicer.
  3. Extract the juice from the juicer and pour it in a bowl or pan.
  4. Add sugar as required. Also add black salt.
  5. Mix well to dissolve the sugar. Pour the juice in glasses.
  6. Serve Ganga Jamuna juice immediately, as it can turn bitter if kept for a few minutes.
  7. Add a few ice cubes if you prefer while serving.
  8. You can also sprinkle a few pinches of chaat masala or roasted cumin powder for extra flavor.
