Dry fruit milkshake is a creamy, healthy, and delicious drink made by blending dried fruits and nuts with milk and cardamom powder.

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons almonds
  • 2 tablespoons cashews
  • 2 tablespoons pistachios (unsalted)
  • 2 tablespoons raisins
  • 4 dates (pitted)
  • 2-3 dried figs
  • 2 cups whole milk (chilled)
  • 1/4 teaspoon cardamom powder
  • slivered pistachios & almonds (for garnish)

Method

  1. Soak the mixed dry fruits like badam, cashew, pistachios, raisins, dates and dried fig in hot water for about an hour or overnight.
  2. Drain the water and peel the badam and discard the skin.
  3. Blend the soaked dry fruits with ½ cup of milk until you get a smooth paste.
  4. Then add the remaining milk, cardamom powder and blend until you get a creamy milkshake. Note: If you have a high-speed blender like Vitamix then add all the ingredients like soaked mixed dry fruits, milk, and cardamom powder to the blender and blend until you get a smooth and creamy texture.
  5. Pour the milkshake into glasses and serve chilled with some chopped nuts on the top.
