Drumstick or Moringa leaves Raita is an easy and healthy raita recipe made with yogurt (curd), sautéed moringa leaves and some spices

Ingredients

Measuring cup used 1 cup = 250ml

  • 1 teaspoon coconut oil (Or any oil)
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin (jeera) seeds
  • 1 green chilli (finely chopped)
  • 1 cup tender drumstick (moringa leaves) (tighlty packed)
  • 1 cup yogurt (curd)
  • 1/8 teaspoon black salt
  • salt & black pepper (to taste)

Method

  1. Heat 1 teaspoon of oil in a Kadai. Add cumin (jeera) seeds. Let them splutter.
  2. Then add green chilies, tender drumstick leaves, and salt. Saute for a few seconds till drumstick leaves shrink. Cool the mixture before adding to the yogurt.
  3. Whisk the yogurt or curd in a large mixing bowl.
  4. Add sautéed drumstick leaves mixture, black salt, and black pepper powder, mix well. Taste at this stage to make sure the amount of salt and spices is enough.
  5. Moringa/Drumstick leaves Raita is ready, Serve chilled.
