Ingredients

Measuring cup used 1 cup = 250 ml

  • 1 pound carrots (peeled and cut into sticks)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder ((or minced garlic))
  • salt and pepper (to taste)

Method

  1. Wash, dry and peel the carrots. Cut the carrots into 2 inch sticks. Cut them first into half and then into 3 or 4 strips vertically.
  2. Transfer the carrot fries to a medium bowl. Add olive oil and season with garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Toss them well, so they are all coated with the seasoning.
  3. Preheat the air fryer to 375 ° F (190°C). Add the seasoned carrots to the air fryer basket and spread them in a single layer (cook in batches if required).
  4. Air fryer them at 375 ° F (190°C) for 12-15 minutes or until slightly brown and crispy. Shake the basket halfway through. Mine was cooked perfectly in 12 minutes.
  5. Roasted Carrots are ready. Remove in a serving plate, and serve it immediately with a tasty dipping sauce on the side.

How to Roast Carrots in the Oven

  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F. Transfer the seasoned carrot sticks to a baking sheet. You can add oil and seasonings to the sheet tray itself. Spread them evenly in a single layer and cook for about 20 minutes, or until the carrots are browning around the edges (time may vary based on the size of your fries). You may have to turn them once halfway through for even roasting.
