Crispy homemade Healthy Plantain chips / Banana chips made out of raw bananas that are healthier, made with very little coconut oil in the air fryer

Ingredients
- 2 plantains / raw banana
- 2 tablespoons coconut oil
- 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
Soaking Peeled Plantain
- 1 large bowl of water
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
Method
- Cut the ends of the plantain and peel the skin.
- In a medium bowl, combine 4 cups of water, turmeric powder, and salt. Mix well. Place the peeled banana and let it soak for at least 10 minutes.
- Pat dry the banana using a paper towel and slice the bananas using a mandolin slicer.
- In a medium bowl, add some coconut oil and turmeric. Mix well. Then place the sliced bananas and toss until fully coated.
- Preheat the air fryer to 350 ° F (176°C). Place the sliced raw banana in the air fryer basket and spread them in a single layer (cook in batches if required).
- Air fryer them at 350 ° F (176°C) for 10 minutes or until they are crispy and done. You may want to air fry for additional 3-4 minutes. Shake the basket halfway through.
- Once done, sprinkle some salt and Enjoy or place the banana chips in an air-tight container.
