Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • ½ onion (finely chopped)
  • 1 tsp ginger garlic paste
  • ½ capsicum (finely chopped)
  • 3 tbsp peas
  • 1 carrot (chopped)
  • 2 tomato (chopped)
  • ¼ tsp turmeric
  • 1 tsp chilli powder
  • 3 tsp pav bhaji masala
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp water
  • 1 potato (boiled)
  • 2 tbsp coriander (chopped)
  • 5 cup cooked rice (basmati)
  • 2 chilli (slit)
  • ½ lemon

Method

  1. Firstly, in a large kadai heat 2 tbsp oil, 1 tbsp butter and splutter 1 tsp cumin.
  2. Add ½ onion, 1 tsp ginger garlic paste and saute until onion softens.
  3. Now add ½ capsicum, 3 tbsp peas, 1 carrot, 2 tomato and stir fry until the vegetables turn crunchy.
  4. Keeping the flame on low, add ¼ tsp turmeric, 1 tsp chilli powder, 3 tsp pav bhaji masala and 1 tsp salt.
  5. Saute until the spices turn aromatic.
  6. Also, add 2 tbsp water and cook until all the masala are cooked well.
  7. Add in 1 potato, 2 tbsp coriander and mix until the masala is coated well.
  8. Further, add 5 cup cooked rice and mix gently.
  9. Now add 2 chilli, 2 tbsp coriander and ½ lemon. Mix well making sure everything is well combined.
  10. Finally, enjoy Tawa Pulao Recipe with raita.
