Ingredients
- ¾ cup jaggery
- ½ cup water
- 2 banana (ripe)
- 2 cup wheat flour
- ¼ tsp salt
- ½ tsp cardamom powder
- ¼ tsp baking soda
- oil (for frying)
Method
- Firstly, in a saucepan take ¾ cup jaggery and ½ cup water.
- Stir well and boil until the jaggery melts completely. Cool and keep aside.
- In a large bowl, mash 2 banana to a smooth paste texture.
- Add 2 cup wheat flour, ¼ tsp salt, ½ tsp cardamom powder, and ¼ tsp baking soda.
- Pour in jaggery water. Make sure to filter out to remove any particles.
- Mix well making sure everything is well combined.
- Add water as required and beat the batter till you get ribbon consistency.
- Now dip your hand in cold water and pinch a small ball-sized batter.
- Drop it in hot oil keeping the flame on medium.
- Stir and fry uniformly on medium flame.
- Drain off the bonda once it turns golden brown and crisp.
