Ingredients
- 1 cup soya chunks
- 1 tsp salt
- hot water
- ¼ cup corn flour
- ½ tsp chilli powder
- ½ tsp garam masala
- ½ tsp salt
- oil (for frying)
for sauce:
- 2 tbsp oil
- 2 tbsp ginger garlic (chopped)
- 2 tbsp spring onion (chopped)
- ½ onion (finely chopped)
- ½ capsicum (cubed)
- 3 chilli (slit)
- 2 tbsp chilli sauce
- 2 tbsp tomato sauce
- 2 tbsp vinegar
- 2 tsp soy sauce
- ½ tsp salt
- 2 tbsp spring onion (chopped)
Method
- Firstly, in a bowl, take 1 cup of soya chunks, 1 tsp salt and hot water.
- Soak for 5 minutes or until the soya softens.
- Squeeze off the water and transfer to the bowl.
- Add ¼ cup corn flour, ½ tsp chilli powder, ½ tsp garam masala and ½ tsp salt.
- Mix well, ensuring the soya is evenly coated.
- Deep fry in hot oil, keeping the flame on medium.
- Fry until the soya turns golden and crispy. Keep aside.
- In a pan, heat 2 tbsp oil. Add 2 tbsp ginger garlic, 2 tbsp spring onion and saute well.
- Also add ½ onion, ½ capsicum, 3 chilli and saute well.
- Now add 2 tbsp chilli sauce, 2 tbsp tomato sauce, 2 tbsp vinegar, 2 tsp soy sauce and ½ tsp salt.
- Mix well, ensuring the sauces are thoroughly cooked.
- Further add fried soya, 2 tbsp spring onion and mix well.
- Finally, enjoy Soya Chilli Recipe with tomato sauce.
