Ingredients

  • 1.5 cups instant dry milk (milk powder)
  • 1 cup confectioners sugar (also known as powdered sugar)
  • ¾ cup unsweetened cocoa powder (sifted)
  • ½ cup white chocolate chips
  • ¾ cup semi sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • ½ cup crushed peppermint candy

Method

  1. Keep semi-sweet chocolate chips and white chocolate chips in the refrigerator for 15-20 minutes.
  2. Meanwhile sift unsweetened cocoa powder and set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, sift together dry milk and confectioners sugar.
  4. Add the sifted cocoa powder to it.
  5. Transfer the entire mixture into a food processor. Take out semi sweet chocolate chips and white chocolate chips from the refrigerator and add them to the food processor as well.
  6. Pulse will everything is well combined and smooth. The chocolate chips should be completely broken and powdered.
  7. Add the crushed peppermint candy and give a final pulse.
  8. Store peppermint cocoa mix in airtight containers or pack them in small jars as gifts.

To Make Peppermint Hot Chocolate

  1. Add 2-3 tablespoons of peppermint hot cocoa mix to 6 oz milk/water/half and half.
