Ingredients

  • 3 medium hass avocados (ripened)
  • 1/2 cup red onions (finely chopped)
  • 1/2 large roma tomato (seeds and pulp removed, chopped (optional))
  • 1 jalapeno (finely chopped (or serrano peppers))
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced (optional))
  • 2 tablespoons cilantro (coriander leaves)
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
  • salt and black pepper (to taste)

Method

  1. Using your knife, cut around the seed and twist, which will separate them into two halves. Using a spoon, scoop out the flesh.
  2. Use a fork or a potato masher to mash the avocados to your desired consistency in a mixing bowl.
  3. Add onions, jalapeño, minced garlic, cilantro, lime juice, salt, black pepper, and mix until well combined. (If adding tomatoes, add them in the very end since they release moisture).
  4. Avocado guacamole recipe is ready to serve.
