Ingredients

  • 2 cups ripe strawberries
  • 1 cup chilled water
  • 1 tablespoon sugar ((or maple syrup, honey), optional)
  • icecubes (as needed)

Optional Add-ins

  • 1 tablespoon lime juice ((or lemon juice), optional)

Method

Prep

  1. First, wash the strawberries, remove the green stems and roughly chop them. Note: The greens are edible and contain nutrients, so you can save them.

Using a Blender/Immersion Blender

  1. Transfer the strawberries, water, lime juice, and sweetener to a high-speed blender like Vitamix or use an immersion blender. Blend until smooth.
  2. Pour the juice into the serving glass with ice cubes and enjoy immediately or allow it chill in the refrigerator for 1-2 hours. Note: If you don’t like pulp in your juice, strain it through a fine-mesh strainer or a nut milk bag.

Using a Juicer

  1. Put the strawberries pieces into your juicer chute one at a time.
  2. Collect the juice, squeeze some lime juice and add sweetener of your choice. Dilute it with some water if desired and enjoy!
