Garlic Butter Prawn Linguine
Ingredients
- 1 cup linguine
- 10-12 prawns
- 4-5 garlic cloves minced
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 sprig parsley chopped
- 1 tsp oregano
- Salt
- Pepper
- Garnish with parmigiano reggiano
Steps
- Bring water to a boil in a heavy-bottomed pan, add salt and the linguine, then boil to 'Al dante' and set aside.
- Mince the garlic. Devein the prawns, keeping their tails and discarding the heads, then chop the parsley.
- Put the butter in a pan over a low flame and add the minced garlic. Cook for 2 mins, then add the chopped parsley and stir once.
- Put the prawns in and cook until their color is pink. Do not overlook them, since prawns turn chewy.
- Add the oregano, boiled linguine, salt and pepper, then cook until the butter has been mixed throughout the linguine. Leave it aside.
- Add the parmigiano reggiano before serving it hot.
