Chicken Curry
Ingredients
- 1 kg of chicken
- 3 medium sized onions
- 2 table spoon garlic paste
- 2 teaspoons onion paste
- 1 tablespoons ginger paste
- Salt to taste
- 2 teaspoons of red chilli powder
- 4 teaspoons of cumin powder
- 2 teaspoons of turmeric powder
- 4 tablespoons of oil
- 5 to 6 green chillies
Steps
- In a pan, heat the oil and fry the onions until golden brown.
- Add the chicken pieces to the pan when the onion is golden brown, and then add salt and chili powder and stir to cook.
- Once the salt and chili powder is mixed, add the onion, ginger and garlic pastes and stir to cook again. Once the chicken is lightly cooked, add turmeric and 2 teaspoons of cumin powder and stir to cook in high heat.
- After 3-4 minutes of cooking, add some water (based on the amount of gravy you want to have) and close the lid and let it cook for 5-6 minutes until water level reduces. Add some cumin powder and stir to cook until the chicken is fully cooked.
- Once the chicken is fully cooked, add 2 tea spoons of cumin powder, the chilies, and close the lid for 2 minutes and then it is ready to serve!
