Easy Bhel Puri Recipe | Bhel Poori | Bhel Puri Chaat - 2 Ways

Ingredients

for bhel puri mix:

  • ½ cup peanut
  • ½ cup roasted gram dal
  • ¾ cup thick poha
  • oil (for frying)
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • ½ tsp turmeric
  • ½ tsp chilli powder
  • pinch hing
  • few curry leaves
  • 4 cup murmura
  • ½ tsp cumin powder
  • 1 tsp chaat masala
  • ½ tsp kala namak
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp powdered sugar
  • ½ tsp aamchur
  • ½ cup spicy boondi
  • ½ cup sev
  • 10 papdi

for bhel puri chaat:

  • 2 cup bhel mix
  • ½ onion (finely chopped)
  • ½ tomato (finely chopped)
  • ½ boiled potato (cubed)
  • ½ tsp chaat masala
  • 2 tbsp green chutney
  • 2 tbsp tamarind chutney
  • 2 chilli (finely chopped)
  • 2 tbsp coriander (chopped)
  • ½ lemon

Method

  1. Firstly, in a hot oil, place a sieve and fry ½ cup peanut on low flame.
  2. Once the peanut turns crunchy, drain off and keep aside.
  3. Now fry ½ cup roasted gram dal on low flame till it turns crunchy.
  4. Drain off and keep aside.
  5. Also, fry ¾ cup thick poha in hot oil till the poha turns crispy.
  6. Drain off and keep aside.
  7. In a large kadai, heat 2 tbsp oil. Add ½ tsp turmeric, ½ tsp chilli powder, pinch hing and few curry leaves.
  8. Saute on low flame until the spices turn aromatic.
  9. Add 4 cup murmura and fry til the murmura turns crispy and the spices are well combined.
  10. Turn off the flame and add ½ tsp cumin powder, 1 tsp chaat masala, ½ tsp kala namak, ½ tsp salt, 2 tbsp powdered sugar and ½ tsp aamchur.
  11. Add ½ cup spicy boondi, ½ cup sev, crush 10 papdi and mix well.
  12. Mix well making sure all are well combined.
  13. Finally, Behl Puri Mix is ready to make chaat.

How to make Bhel Puri Chaat Recipe:

  1. Firstly, in a bowl take 2 cup bhel mix.
  2. Add ½ onion, ½ tomato, ½ boiled potato,½ tsp chaat masala, 2 tbsp green chutney, 2 tbsp tamarind chutney.
  3. Mix well making sure all the chutney are well combined.
  4. Further add 2 chilli, 2 tbsp coriander, ½ lemon and mix well.
  5. Finally, enjoy Bhel Puri Recipe topped with more puri.
