Ingredients

  • 1 pound bag of pretzel sticks (half the bag)
  • 1/8 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 3 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 stick butter = 1/2c
  • 3/4 c cream cheese
  • 8 ounces mascarpone cheese
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1/2 c powdered sugar
  • 1 soft banana
  • 1 c frozen berries with strawberries-sliced
  • 1-3 ounce box of strawberry jello

Steps

  1. Put half the bag of pretzels in a ziplock bag and crush them coarsely as best you can. Sprinkle the cinnamon into the bag.
  2. Melt butter in a bowl, using a microwave or the stove over low heat. Add brown sugar. Preheat the oven to 350f. Put the pretzels and butter mixture in a square baking dish, mix very thoroughly and press an even layer across the bottom.
  3. Bake for 10 mins, then take the dish out and let it cool. Turn off the oven.
  4. In a separate mixing bowl, blend mascarpone, cream cheese, vanilla, powdered sugar and cut-up banana together very well.
  5. Carefully place dollops of the cream mixture on the baked pretzels so you do not lift them. Spread the cream around, sealing it well all around the pan. Freeze while you make the jello mixture.
  6. Put 1c boiling water in a bowl, add the package of jello powder and stir until completely dissolved. Leave it for 10 minutes, then add the frozen sliced berries and put the mixture on top of the cream.
  7. If desired, add fresh berries or whipped cream and enjoy the pretzel salad.
