Ingredients

  • 15-18 papdi ((crispy puri or wheat flour crackers))
  • 1/4 cup green chutney ((or as needed))
  • 1/4 cup tamarind chutney ((or as needed))
  • 1/4 cup nylon sev
  • 2 tablespoon coriander leaves

For Avocado Mixture

  • 1 extra-large avocado ((or 2 small avocados))
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • 1/4 cup onion (finely chopped)
  • 1/4 cup tomato, deseeded (finely chopped)
  • 1 green chili (finely chopped)
  • 1/2 teaspoon roasted cumin powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon chaat masala
  • 1/2 teaspoon black salt (as per taste)
  • salt (as per taste)

Method

  1. Take ripened avocado, cut them in half. Using a spoon, scoop the pulp into a wide mixing bowl. Add lime juice and mash the avocadoes with a fork or potato masher to your desired consistency.
  2. Add onions, tomatoes, green chilies, coriander leaves, roasted cumin powder, chaat masala, black salt and regular salt. Mix until well combined. (If adding tomatoes, add them in the very end since they release moisture).
  3. Arrange 6-7 papdis on a serving plate. Then, place the avocado mixture on each papdis.
  4. Drizzle some green chutney and sweet tamarind chutney into each papdis. Garnish with some thin sev and coriander leaves.
  5. Avocado Papdi Chaat is ready. Serve immediately.
