Paneer Samosa – A Bite of Happiness
Ingredients
- 150 g Paneer (grated)
- 2 tbsp Fresh Coriander, finely chopped
- 2 Green Chilies, finely chopped
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 1/2 tsp Black Pepper Powder
- 1 cup all purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tbsp oil
- Water as needed, to knead the dough
- Oil for frying
- Tomato sauce for serving
Steps
- Mix the all-purpose flour with salt and oil in a mixing bowl. Knead to a firm dough, adding water gradually, then divide it into equal portions.
- Roll the portions into thin rotis. Brush one roti lightly with oil, sprinkle a little dry flour over it and lay another roti on top. Gently roll the pair once more, then cook lightly on a hot pan, stopping when only partially cooked. Let cool before carefully pulling the two layers apart.
- For the stuffing, combine grated paneer, chopped coriander, green chilies, salt and black pepper powder thoroughly. Spread a thin layer of flour slurry along each sheet's edges and form a cone. Fill with the paneer mixture and firmly seal into a samosa. Continue with the remaining sheets and stuffing.
- Heat the oil over a medium flame. Deep-fry the samosas until golden brown, crisp and fully cooked, then enjoy them hot and crisp with tomato sauce.
