Ingredients

  • 1 cup linguine
  • 10-12 prawns
  • 4-5 garlic cloves minced
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 sprig parsley chopped
  • 1 tsp oregano
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Garnish with parmigiano reggiano

Steps

  1. Bring water to a boil in a heavy-bottomed pan, add salt and the linguine, then boil to 'Al dante' and set aside.
  2. Mince the garlic. Devein the prawns, keeping their tails and discarding the heads, then chop the parsley.
  3. Put the butter in a pan over a low flame and add the minced garlic. Cook for 2 mins, then add the chopped parsley and stir once.
  4. Put the prawns in and cook until their color is pink. Do not overlook them, since prawns turn chewy.
  5. Add the oregano, boiled linguine, salt and pepper, then cook until the butter has been mixed throughout the linguine. Leave it aside.
  6. Add the parmigiano reggiano before serving it hot.
