Sev Chaat
Ingredients
- 2 cups Sev or Gram flour stringhoppers
- 1/2 cup roasted Peanuts
- 1 cup Farsan or Mixture or Namkeen
- 1 cup Boondi or Gram flour Pearl Drops
- 1-2 finely chopped Onions
- 1-2 finely chopped Tomatoes
- 1 tsp Salt or to taste
- 1-2 finely chopped Green Chillies
- 1 tbsp Chaat Masala
- 3-4 tbsp chopped Coriander Leaves
- 1 large Lemon
- 1 tbsp Green Chutney
- 1 tbsp Dates and Tamarind Chutney
- 1 cup crushed Papdi
- 1/2 cup Pomegranate arils (for garnish)
Steps
- Add nylon sev to a mixing bowl at first. To this, add your favourite vegetables and other essential ingredients too.
- Mix well and chill all the chutneys and the vegetables until ready to serve. Top it up with a generous amount of pomegranate arils. Assembling should be done when ready to serve in order to prevent it from getting soggy.
- Squeeze lemon juice as per one's own choice. It adds a perfect zing to the chaat. I added the juice of a big sized lemon.
- Serve it chilled as a lovely 4 pm snack or at tea-time or shaam ki chai. Enjoy!
