Ingredients

  • 2 cups raw Rice
  • 3/4 cup Black Gram or Urad Daal
  • 1 tsp Fenugreek Seeds
  • 1 tbsp Bengal Gram or Chana Daal
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 400 gm Chicken boneless
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Chilli Garlic Sauce
  • 1 tsp Cumin powder
  • 1/2 tsp Garam Masala
  • 1 tbsp Butter
  • 1 tbsp Oil
  • 6-7 Curry Leaves
  • 3 tbsp chopped Coriander Leaves

Steps

  1. Soak both the rice and dal separately for 5-6 hours. Use fresh drinking water for soaking them. Soak Bengal Gram and Fenugreek Seeds too. Make a thick batter with all the ingredients mentioned. Leave it to ferment overnight.
  2. Make dosas or uttappams as per your preference. Saute the chicken as desired using the ingredient list.
  3. Add Butter + Oil and the Curry Leaves followed by the rest of the ingredients. Now add Chicken cubes as small as possible along with all the other spices. Saute them on a medium flame stirring at regular intervals. Cover and let it cook for 10 minutes. It does not take much time as the cubes are very small. Stir well and allow to cook on low flame for 12 to 15 minutes.
  4. After done, switch off the flame. Spread the sauteed Chicken on the Dosas or the Uttappams at first. You can opt for Coconut Chutney, Mayonnaise or even the good old Ketchup. Try this awesome Frankie the next time you prepare the batter for steaming hot Dosas.
