Steps

  1. Tortillas: Combine both the flours with salt & make a soft dough using water. Rest the dough covered for 30 minutes.
  2. Now knead the dough & divide into 5 equal portions. (I have doubled the recipe). Take 1 portion & roll it using dry flour into 7 " diameter disc.
  3. Cook the rolled chapati lightly on a hot girdle. Similarly make all the tortillas the same way. Cool.
  4. Cut the tortillas in diamond shape & deep fry them in hot oil. Fry all of them crisp & remove them on kitchen paper.
  5. Cool & store them in an airtight container & use as required.
  6. Raw Salsa: Mix everything together and keep aside.
  7. How to assemble Mexican Bhel: (per plate / bowl) In a large bowl take 1 cup of tortilla chips, add 2 tb sp raw salsa, 1 tb sp corn, rajma, (optional) 1 t.sp capsicum & cheese as desired. Add salt as per taste. Toss & serve immediately in another bowl, garnished with sev & chopped coriander. Our yummylicious Mexican Bhel is ready to be relished by the young & old alike…..So enjoy πŸ…πŸŒΆπŸœπŸ₯¬
  8. This is an assemble yourself dish. One can take the quantity of raw salsa & toppings as per their choice when they want to eat. If you assemble it in advance, tortillas will become soggy. So Make it & Gorge on it while it is crispy & nice.
