- 2 Tbsp Salted Butter
- 1 tsp black pepper powder
- 1/2 tbspn brown sugar
- 2 peice boneless chicken thighs
- as per taste Salt
- 1 tbspn Dark Soya sauce
- 2 tbsp Honey
- 1 tbsp Ginger juice
- 2 burger buns
- 1/2 a medium cucumber
- 1 small tomato
- 2 cheese slices
- 1 tbsp plain mayonnaise
- 1 tbsp mustard honey mayonnaise
- 2 tbsp Schezwan sauce
- as required Butter to toast the buns
Steps
- Marinate the chicken thighs with soya sauce, salt, honey and ginger juice. Keep aside
- To caramelize the sliced onions and capsicum, add the butter in a hot pan add sliced onions and capsicums and fry for 2 mins on medium heat. Then add the brown sugar and stir until fully caramelized. Add and mix the pepper at the end.
- To grill the chicken on stove In a hot pan place the chicken thighs and flip then after 3 to 5mins cook on a medium high heat. Do same on both the sides. You can brush the remaining juices on the sides after flips. To grill in microwave Place the chicken thighs on higher rack and grill for 5 mins each side at 180° celsius.
- To toast the buns, cut them up in a 3:2 ratio, keeping the above section big. Apply butter on each halves and toast for 3 mins on high heat.
- Mix the plain mayonnaise, mustard honey mayonnaise and Schezwan sauce in a bowl.
- Make thin slices of the cucumber and tomatoes and keep aside.
- To assemble 1. Place the lower section of the grilled bun 2. apply the mayonnaise mixture 3. Arrange the cucumbers and tomatoes (I have used 2 slices of each) 4. Place the chicken (lettuce can be placed before placing the chicken) 5. Top it off with the coleslaw abd cheese slice 6. Apply the mayonnaise mixture on the upper half of the bun And enjoy
- To store for future can simply pack it in a damp paper towel and wrap it up in baking paper. Just microwave for 1 minute or 2 (depending on the power of the microwave) before serving.
