Ingredients

  • 12 inches Whole wheat French loaf (or any loaf you get)
  • as needed Cheese spread
  • 4 tsp American Mustard sauce / Honey Mustard sauce(any sauce you love)
  • 3-4 Lettuce leaves
  • 8 Onion slices
  • 6 Tomato slices
  • 1 Bell peppers julienned (any color)
  • 7-8 Olives sliced
  • 6-8 Pickled Jalepenos slices
  • 2 Cheese slices (any flavour you love)

Steps

  1. Preheat your electric oven at 180 °c or any vessel/ cooker you use on gastop as oven for at least 10 minutes. Slice the onion and tomato, julienne the bellpeppers, slice the olives, roughly tear the lettuce leaves.
  2. Cut the loaf into two – 6 inches each and Slice it horizontally also. (If you like to have 12 inches sandwich, then no need to cut from the middle). Lightly warm it in the oven for 1-2 minutes….I have used a big vessel as oven on gastop..which nowadays I am using, as my electric oven is packed for my movement….so I have done this temporary arrangement but I am loving it. After that apply the cheese spread.
  3. After that I have put lettuce, onion, tomato, Chicken Salami, Jalepenos, olive, bellpeppers, American mustard sauce (put as much as you desire)and tear the cheese slice into two and add on to it….you can assemble in any way you like….put the other half of the loaf on top.
  4. Wrap it in an aluminium foil (this is just for convenience of handling) and again put the sandwich in the hot oven or the hot vessel used as oven on gas top for 2-3 minutes or as needed, in this way the cheese melts beautifully and you get a warm sandwich (not too hot..just warm enough). Serve/eat it immediately to enjoy the sandwich!!! Wrap it in a food wrapping paper if you want to serve it like Subway style to your family and friends. !
