  • 2 tbsp powdered oats
  • 1 & half tbsp cocoa powder
  • 1 Cadbury Silk chopped into pieces
  • 1/4 th tsp baking powder
  • 1 pinch baking soda
  • 4 tbsp jaggery powder
  • 3 tbsp melted butter or ghee
  • Milk at room temperature as required
  • 1/4 th tsp coffee or chocolate essence
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 tsp coffee
  • Few more silk pieces for lava
  • Choco chips for decoration

Steps

  1. In a bowl add all the dry ingredients like wheat flour, powdered oats, cocoa powder, coffee, salt and baking powder. Now mix everything well and strain them over a strainer.
  2. Now in it add jaggery powder, ghee and essence. Give everything a good mix. Now slowly and gradually start adding milk with a spoon to make a thick consistency batter. Mix the batter using fold and cut technique.
  3. Now add some chopped chocolate pieces and firmly mix it once.
  4. Now take a kadai for pre-heating with it's base covered with salt and a stand over it. Then put another thin plate over the stand, as shown in the image below. Now cover the kadai and pre-heat it for 5 mins on high flame and then 3 mins. on medium flame.
  5. Until the kadai is being pre-heated, let's grease the muffin mold with some ghee. Now add 1 tbsp of batter in each mold as shown in the image below. Now insert a piece of Silk chocolate in it. Over it again put a tbsp of batter. Dab the muffin cups twice so that there are no air bubbles. Garnish them with some choco-chips
  6. Once the kadai is pre-heated, place the muffin moulds over the plate, as shown below. Now cover the kadai and bake it on a low flame for about 8 to 10 minutes. Then let it cool down a bit then demould them gently.
  7. Now cut it from the middle and serve it. You can see the chocolate lava or the melted chocolate oozing from the middle of the cupcakes. Enjoy them.
