Ingredients

  • 2 avocados
  • 1/8 cup finely chopped onion
  • 1/4 cup pomegranate seeds
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped apple [from 1/4th of a normal gala apple]
  • 1/2 jalapeno (desseded and chopped)
  • 1 tablespoon chopped cilantro
  • 2 garlic cloves (chopped)
  • 2 tablespoons chopped walnuts (toasted)
  • juice of 1 small lime
  • salt (to taste)
  • black pepper (to taste)

Method

  1. Cut the avocados, remove the seed and scoop out the flesh. Transfer to a bowl.
  2. Mash the avocados using a fork. I did not mash them completely and kept it slightly chunky.
  3. Stir in everything else and mix.
  4. Garnish with more pomegranate seeds and serve.
