Decadent Chocolate Cake with Fresh Strawberries and Whipped Cream

Ingredients

• 1 package Duncan Hines Decadent Triple Chocolate Cake Mix
• 3 large eggs
• 1 cup water
• 1/4 cup mini chocolate chips (Optional)
• 1/3 cup vegetable oil
• 1 cup Nutella
• 1 cup (half pint) heavy whipping cream
• 2 tablespoons confectioners’ sugar
• 3 cups fresh strawberries, rinsed, hulled and sliced
• 1/4 cup sugar

Steps

1. Prepare cake mix as directed adding optional chocolate chips in one 9-inch pan. Cool to room temperature. Remove from pan and put on serving dish.
2. Spread Nutella on top of cake.
3. Prepare whipped cream. Spread whipped cream on top of Nutella.
4. Sprinkle sliced strawberries with granulated sugar about 15 minutes before serving.
5. Drain strawberries of excess juice and spread on top of whipped cream.
6. Cut into wedges and serve.
