Dates dry fruits laddu – immunity booster and energy balls
Ingredients
- 2 cups seedless dates
- 3 tbsp (or as needed) almonds
- 3 tbsp (or as needed) cashews
- 3 tbsp (or as needed) walnuts
- 2 tbsp (or as needed) raisins
- 2 tbsp dried coconut (grated)
- 2 tsp poppy seeds
- 2 tbsp (or as needed) pistachios
- 2 tsp (or as needed) melon seeds
- 2 tsp (or as needed) pumpkin seeds
- 2 tsp (or as needed) _muskmelon seeds
- 2 tsp (or as needed) sunflower seeds
- 1 tsp cardamom powder
- 1/4 tsp nutmeg powder
- 2 tsp ghee
- Some rose petals
Steps
- Chop the seedless dates into small pieces.
- Take out all the dry fruits and chop them.Similarly, remove all the seeds.
- Now, dry-roast the poppy seeds (khus-khus) and transfer them to a plate.
- Now, add ghee to the pan and roast the cashews, almonds, walnuts, and pistachios one by one. Finally, add the raisins and grated coconut, roast them briefly, and transfer everything to a large plate.
- Now, roast all the seeds in the same pan with half a teaspoon of ghee and transfer them to a plate.
- Now, sauté the finely chopped dates in the same pan with half a teaspoon of ghee. (If needed and the mixture seems dry, you can add 1–2 teaspoons of milk; here, I prepared it without adding milk.)
- Within 2–3 minutes, the dates become very soft and start to clump together.
- Mix all the dry fruits, seeds, and poppy seeds into the softened dates. Also, add the green cardamom powder and nutmeg powder.
- Now, shape the mixture into round laddus.
- Roll the prepared laddus in the remaining poppy seeds. Sprinkle some rose petals on laddus for decoration.
