Cream of Mushroom Soup Recipe – Easy Homemade
Ingredients
- 15 mushroom, sliced
- 2 tbsp butter
- 3 cloves garlic, finely chopped
- 1 inch ginger, grated
- ½ onion, chopped
- 1½ tbsp maida
- 1 tsp salt
- 4 cup water
- ½ tsp thyme
- 1 tsp pepper powder
- ¼ cup cream
- 2 tsp coriander, chopped
Steps
- Heat 2 tbsp butter in a wok and sauté 3 cloves garlic with 1 inch ginger.
- Sauté ½ onion in it until softened.
- Sauté thoroughly after adding 15 sliced mushrooms.
- Continue cooking until the mushrooms soften and release water.
- After adding 1½ tbsp maida and 1 tsp salt, cook until aromatic. The maida acts as a thickener for the soup.
- Mix thoroughly after pouring in 4 cup water.
- Collect a few of the mushrooms and grind to a smooth paste; this paste helps make the soup creamy and flavourful.
- Put the mushroom paste back in and cook well.
- Keep the soup at a simmer for at least 5 minutes, or until the flavours are well absorbed.
- Put in ½ tsp thyme, 1 tsp pepper powder and ¼ cup cream, then mix and bring to a boil.
- Mix in 2 tsp coriander thoroughly.
- Enjoy this soup alongside bread.
