- 1 teaspoon raw sugar or as required, can add ½ teaspoon of white sugar instead

Steps
Cooking Edamame
- Over medium to high heat, bring water and some salt to a boil.
- When it starts boiling, put in the edamame beans.
- Cook uncovered for 8 to 12 minutes. If using an Instant Pot, steam with its pressure cook function for 3 to 5 minutes.
- Frozen beans cook faster than fresh ones, and pod size may also mean a shorter or longer cooking time.
- Once cooked, strain away all the water.
- If desired, shock the beans in ice-cold water to retain their colour.
- After all the water is drained, put the beans on a serving plate.
- Sprinkle with salt, then toss and mix the beans with it. Serve hot, warm or at room temperature.
